NIL BFF

Who is this person?

As a student-athlete, you probably have many friends.

Teammates. Classmates. Friends from high school. New friends you’ve made at college.

The list goes on.

But when it comes to NIL: Who should be your best friend?

Your teammates? Maybe.

Your friends? Perhaps.

Your coach? Possible.

However, there is one person that should be above the rest.

This may seem like an unlikely choice. After all, what benefits does this person provide me? And specifically for NIL.

More than you may think.

  • High quality content

    • This person generally captures content with professional, high-grade equipment. Therefore, the content they have of you in games and during practice and team events is high quality - which are great for your social media accounts.

  • Approved by the school

    • This person is approved by the athletic department to shoot, capture, and create content for the school. This generally means your content is approved by the athletic department to share on your accounts since the source (photographer) is approved by the school to capture footage.

  • Can help with photoshoots for NIL partnerships

    • For collaborations, high-quality footage is best. Therefore, leveraging this person outside of team activities can not only help you look good for your NIL partnerships, but it adds to their portfolio as well.
