Today’s Case
After Florida collective debacle, QB Jaden Rashada enrolls at Arizona State, scores first NIL deal
ASU QB Jaden Rashada & State Bicycle
Coming off a well-publicized story about committing to play football at Florida and set to earn nearly $14M over four years from the Gator Collective (which is now since-voided), Jaden Rashada was released from his NLI (National Letter of Intent) and had to find another school to enroll at.
Since he graduated high school early and most college’s enrollment periods had closed in early January for the spring semester, he landed at Arizona State, thanks to a later enrollment date the school offers.
Now, a few weeks after enrolling and practicing with the football team, Rashada scored his first deal with Tempe-based company State Bicycle.
The Verdict:
Coming off a rough few weeks for him personally and athletically, glad that he landed at a P5 school that potentially gives him immediate playing time this coming season.
While the deal itself is good, there is room for improvement on the social posts. (Twitter & Instagram)
Not a fan of the exact same copy and image on different platforms; language should be unique to each platform.
There is a typo in the copy. (“There bikes” should be “Their bikes”)
Having multiple people proofread content before it goes out is always recommended
Would have much preferred a video over images
Jaden can showcase himself riding the bike around campus and around Tempe
He can also share features of the bike (durable, light weight, etc.) which will allow him to showcase his personality and build a stronger connection with fans
Provide Jaden a discount code to share with his followers so he can earn a percentage from each bike sold (although earning an upfront amount vs. a discount code may have been agreed upon between Jaden and State Bicycle).
